In Frenzy 0.3 HDD partitions are mounted automatically while booting.
USB flash will be mounted automatically only if it is inserted before booting, I'll think about automounting them.
CD automount is not available.

Hi,

from my personal experience FreeBSD 6.0 is superior to 5.x.
Could the next release be based on 6.x ?

Another question. Why must it be a 200MB CD ?
Why not putting more useful software on the CD ?

I would be especially interested in Network Management
and Security tools. Network/WLAN monitoring/scanning.

And perhaps some browsers, so that one could even use
the CD for testing of webpages with different browser types.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.

Andreas

1) Yes, the next Frenzy release will be based on FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE.
2) The size 200Mb is selected because of my personal love to small distributions :) 200Mb 3" CD fits in my pocket like floppy. Keeping CD size small also forces me to select the best applications.
3) In Frenzy there are almost all _useful_ software from ports/net, ports/net-mgmt, ports/security and ports/sysutils. Since 0.3 release there are more useful programs added to ports collection (kismet, for example), and they, of course, will be added to Frenzy.
4) I am thinking about full-sized (700Mb) Frenzy edition, but its' development for now is only at planning stage.

Hi all. I've got some questions - how can I configure an internet connection in Frenzy? I'm using a DSL connection and an external modem connected via LAN card. Does it matter then what kind of a modem is it? It says that it's Lucent CellPipe modem. Will it work with BSD? Thanx for answers =]

any chance that the next version of Frenzy might come on a *credit-card* size mini-CD? The current version seems to be shipped only on "regular" (i.e., round) 3" disks.

Yes, I've planned such variant of Frenzy. Currently it is only at planning stage, but it definitely will be released - I need such thing myself :)
