Is there a way to configure a WPA secured wireless network under Frenzy. Something like 'wicd'?

I know you can configure networks with 'netconf'. But how to submit the password?

BTW can i upgrade from frenzy-1.2 to 1.3?is there any "crutial" changes from 1.2 to 1.3? by the name "just update" is it mean just the package updates and not the system?..

1. No, there is no GUI for WiFi configuring, you must do this manually - follow instructions from FreeBSD handbook.
2. Use 'mixer' console application to change volume.
3. PDF reader is not included.
4. 'Frenzy' is designed primarily for LiveCD usage, so you can update from 1.2 to 1.3 at your own risk. But since the version of base system is changed from 8.0 to 8.1, I suppose the update will fail.

Am very happy to let you know that I am able now to configure wifi. Found useful info on the internet. The info in the FreeBSD handbook is for FreeBSD 7 only, not for 8.1. Guess the handbook should be updated.

IRC channel aint gonna die. most techie are there ;). i've been on gentoo, pentoo and other channel all of this time and not seeing users lessen, it keeps on coming :)..
