Congratulations, Sergei, on a very impressive distribution! I've got a couple of questions, but first I'll answer what seems to be the dominate question in this thread. For those of y'all that are having problems with formatting a partition for a hd install from the live cd use the nohdd option/cheat code, and you will be able to create partitions while booted from the live cd.

Now for my questions. After booting Frenzy from the live cd, it became rather obvious that this was what I was looking for as an OS for a computer which I'm going to use primarily to store files on. It's light weight, and does not take up a lot of unnessary space like a lot of the full size OS's today do. Regardless of it's light weight it does not leave one with the impression that it's unfinished like a lot of the smaller distro's out there do. So being very satisfied with Frenzy I installed to the hd. No problem there it installed without a hitch. The only problems I've encountered have come from creating an unprivileged user account. Frenzy created the account without any problem, and I can log into it without any problem, however when trying to start the window manager, with the unprivileged user account , I've encountered a problem. Just running "startx" starts the xserver, but does not start fluxbox. Running "startx fluxbox" does start fluxbox but it does not function correctly (it's only barely usable), and it gives an error in an xterm stating that there is another instance of the xserver running at the same time. In other words I've got two xserver sessions going at the same time. I know that Frenzy was not created with a multi-user system running on a hd in mind, but is there a fix that could be implemented to cure this behavior? If the computer I'm running Frenzy on was not connected to a network that is connected to the internet I would not be concerened about running as root, but it is connected to the internet, and although I'm running a more secure network than a lot of people would I would still prefer to have an unprivileged user logged in instead of root. Thank's in advance for any assistance you can provide, and again, Congratulations on an excellent distro.

Just copy all settings from /root folder to your newly created account:

cd /root
tar cf - . | tar xf - -C /home/your_user
chown -R your_user /home/your_user

Then you will get same work environment as in root account in Frenzy.

I'm using Frenzy 1.0 with a fanless VIA Epia Mini ITX mainboard. VGA on this main-board is supported with the Integrated VIA UniChrome AGP Graphics chipset. When using xorgconfig I find this chipset is not supported yet.

Can somebody help me overcome this problem?

You may use generic VESA driver, hope this helps :)
To configure X.org using generic VESA driver, launch this command before 'startx':
xautoconf safe

Hello Sergei,

I tried xautoconf safe. It didn't work.
I'll try the Xorg website.

Thanks for the good works

Damn ... that`s the BEST *BSD "distro" I`ve ever seen!
I got this installed onto the HD.
Sergei - thanks A LOT! Wonderful job.

BTW Frenzy theme song is just AWESOME too!
I love it. It`s even better than OBSD`s theme songs.

Best regards Sergei! :)

The Frenzy 1.0 (codename Dreamchild) theme song is taken from demo production called "Dreamchild" made by ASD demogroup:

If you have a Windows installed, download and see this masterpiece - looking great!
